I picked up two math packs from Kim Adsit:  All About Numbers and All About Numbers, 11-20.

Love these Work Station packs from Deedee Wills!

I was so excited to get Amanda Nickerson's Talking The Talk cards... they are perfect to add to our collection of FUN ways to read our sentences!

And how could I start the year without Abby Mullins' Crazy for Kinders!?

Currently... August!

I'm linking up with Farley over at Oh Boy, 4th Grade for Currently... and I LOVE that she is doing the Rule of 3 again--that was such fun last time!  Share the Love!
Listening:  When Marlana over at Lil Country Kindergarten posted about 20% off Jack Hartmann CDs, I was so excited!  Last summer I organized all my school music into playlists on my iPod and I am looking for a few new ones to add to the collection.  Gotta love a SALE!

Loving and Thinking:  I feel like I've been on organizational overload this summer--organizing everything from my wrapping paper to bathroom supplies to crayons (my next Made it Monday project)!  It feels so good to get things in order... but it's also making me realize that the summer doesn't last forever, so I better get a move on if I want to complete my home and school to do's in the next few weeks!!

Wanting:  Like every year (lately), we still don't know the state of our assistants.  We need more kinders to register!  Keeping my fingers crossed that we will have our fabulous assistants full-time this year!!

Needing:  I'm taking a mentor class that has an online component (before class next week)... so I need to get going to make sure it gets accomplished.  (no, blog hopping is not helping!  LOL!)

B2S Must Haves:
1.  Scotch Laminator  Last summer I got this bad boy from Amazon and I don't know how I survived without it!  LOVE that it's the thick laminate... perfect for game pieces.

2.  iPod with school music (see Listening)  One of the best things I did for my teaching... I use a lot of music to teach concepts in my room. It's SO EASY to find songs now, no more flipping through tons of CDs.

3. Color Ink This is a biggie--especially since I LOVE color (yes, my room is a sea of bright ones!).   I spend way too much on colored ink.  But, I love a pop of color for work station games, class book covers, labels, etc!  SO WORTH IT!!!

Don't forget about the VA Blogger Get-Together... it's not too late to join us!! Hard to believe that it's only a week away.  Click on the graphic to sign up!

The Magical Product Swap!

MrsStanfordsClass
The day is finally here for the magical product swap!! This super fun idea from Jessica Stanford allowed teachers to select a TpT product from their partner's store.  I was paired up with Amy Blanton from the Kindergarten Center!
The Kindergarten Center
She has a great store and I decided to review her "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie Math and Literacy Centers" since we do a big Laura Numeroff author study.  I love getting new ideas!!
It's 91 pages and packed full of fun activities (4 math and 4 literacy).
Math:
*Counting Cookies (Count the cookies and match to the correct number)
*Cookies and Milk (Tens Frame Addition)
*Odd or Even Cookie Sheets
*Patterning (Pattern Cards and Pattern Pieces)

Literacy:
*Word Match Up (Match words from the story with the correct picture)
*Flow Map Cards (Sequence the story)
*Cookie Rhymes (Match the cookies to the glass of milk with the same word family)
*Beginning Sounds (Put a clothespin on the letter that each object begins with)

Here's a snapshot of a few of the fabulous activities!!
For Word Match Up, she included story words with the adorable Scrappin Doodles clip art.  There are whole cards (with both word and picture) as well as a cut apart set (perfect for pocket charts and matching up the vocabulary word!)

Counting Cookies is a fun math activity where students can count cookies to match the number the mouse is holding.  Numbers 1-10 are included... and lots of cookies!

The Flow Map cards are perfect for sequencing in a pocket chart (whole class in a work station) and would be great for retelling in order as well.

Cookies and Milk is another math activity where students match an addition sentence with the correct ten frame.  (PS The cookie and milk ten frames are so cute!!)

The Patterning station activity gives extra patterns practice--with images from the story!

Plus 3 more!!  And each activity includes a recording sheet.
Be sure to check out Amy Blanton's blog and store to see all the wonderful things she does!!

Thanks Amy for sharing this fun activity and Jessica for putting together the swap!
Don't forget to hop over to Amy's blog to see her review of one of my products.  :o)
